31 Days of Sober Yoga

Make this your best ever Dry January!

The happiest, healthiest Dry Jan EVER!

No more scratching off the days! This daily yoga challenge is going to rock the start to 2025.

I'm Rachel Brady,  I'm a sober yoga facilitator, 500 hour yoga teacher and Embodiment Coach. My journey to sobriety has been wobbly as hell. I will never judge you. Here's the thing that helps me stay steady: doing yoga daily, connecting with others on the same path... introducing the first ever 31 Day Sober Yoga Challenge!  Book on now or read more below...

It's 50% off - £22.22 - until 00:01 GMT on December 26th, when the price increases to £44.44. Invest now or invest later at twice the price. Your choice.

This challenege isn't to try to convince you to quit drinking. We don't do that. It's to support you with taking a break from booze. That's it. Do yoga, don't drink. For 31 days. You in?

5 reasons Yoga will help you stay sober this Jan!

  1. Yoga gives you something to replace the booze with. A new focus. Your daily routine will change. Do yoga (the recorded practice for that week), maybe check in with the Telegram group or go to LIVE sober yoga on Mon and Fri. You're swapping one unhealthy thing for a healthy thing.

  2. You learn self-regulation skills. So often we drink to 'regulate' but what it really does is inhibit and depress our natural emotions that exist for a reason. Yoga gives us a new toolkit for regulating in a healthy way.

  3. You create space, a pause button. By stretching, breathing, and meditating, you will learn how to take a beat, breathe and not react and make less healthy choices. You can choose; you regain control of your mind.

  4. You connect with others. It's lonely being the outlier, the one who doesn't do the thing everyone else does! You're a badass rebel - but it won't feel like that in the moment. So that's why community exists. Post in Telegram or check in on the lives.

  5. Yoga helps connect us to our core, our true self. You desicover your actual SELF. You're not who you thought you were. Wait, what?! Your character that you have built slips away. You start to realise things you didn't know, when you drank through your emotions. Yoga helps connect us to our core, our true self. This is the ultimate goal of yoga: self realisation.

Questions you may have...

I drink a lot, do I need to detox? This is a challenge aimed at those who wish to try a month off drinking, who drink too much occasionally, or maybe a few a day, i.e. who don't need to detox etc. If you do need to, so. if you drink more than a bottle of wine every day or 5 pints a day, please please seek advice from a doctor first, as coming off alcohol cold turkey can kill you. If you are not sure, seek advice.

Are you a sober coach? No, I am a yoga teacher and a life coach. I can help you stay on track but I am not here to help you get sober. Please seek advice from a sober coach, a recovery specialist or a doctor if you need helping quitting alcohol.

I have never done yoga before!? Can I do it? Yes! I am passionate about all people being able to 'do' yoga. Yoga, or what most people call yoga is actually the asana (posture) practice, which is only a part of it. I offer variations for all bodies and abilities, plus we also do breath, meditation - and mostly, connection to one another. Even if you come and lay in Savasana (corpse pose) the whole time, that's yoga.

I have no intention of staying sober after Jan. Will I be 'persuaded' to stay sober? Nope. Never. All of my friends and family drink. And that's OK. I just know, for me, it's better when I don't. I, or others, will not ever convince people to do anything. You may actually want to? Who knows! But that's up to you!

Does it matter if I slip up a few times? Not at all. Just keep coming back. This is a practice. It's more important to me that you fall in love with yoga that do this dry Jan thing perfectly!
